Favre Leuba and Jean Rousseau reimagine the Deep Raider Revival in three limited editions
When a strap inspires the watch itself, a collaboration takes on a unique dimension.
We are proud to unveil this collaboration with Favre Leuba, one of Switzerland’s oldest watch manufactures, centered around the Deep Raider Revival. For this limited edition series, the strap plays a singular role: conceived from the very beginning of the project, it inspired several aesthetic details of the watch itself.
A contemporary interpretation of the legendary Deep Blue launched in 1964, the Deep Raider Revival retains the spirit of the original dive watch while introducing three exclusive creations imagined and handcrafted in the Jean Rousseau ateliers.
Three materials, three personalities
Each model is built around a distinctive strap: a black calfskin leather with a soy-grain finish and beige stitching, a technical fabric in sand-toned hues, or a taupe rubber strap.
These three interpretations, each with its own strong character, showcase Jean Rousseau’s expertise, from in-house developed leather finishes to advanced technical materials, all crafted with the same commitment to design excellence and artisanal manufacturing.
Attention to detail at every level
The pursuit of harmony between the watch and its strap guided the entire creative process. From the Favre Leuba logo and seconds hand to selected dial details and the exclusive caseback engravings, each edition was conceived as a cohesive whole with its own distinct identity.
Handcrafted in the Jean Rousseau ateliers, all three straps feature the exclusive “JR for Favre Leuba 1737” signature on the lining and are paired with a folding clasp specially developed for this collaboration, engraved with the signatures of both Maisons.
A first presentation in New York
To mark their launch, the three models will be presented at our New York Atelier-Boutique during New York Watch Week, from October 13 to 16.
On October 14, collectors and watch enthusiasts will have the opportunity to discover the three editions during a dedicated launch event.
A limited edition of 99 pieces
Limited to just 99 pieces worldwide, the Deep Raider Revival x Jean Rousseau collection embodies the meeting of Favre Leuba’s watchmaking heritage and the artisanal expertise cultivated for more than 70 years in the Jean Rousseau ateliers.
