For months, something has been taking shape between Paris and Besançon. A meeting of minds between Beaubleu and Jean Rousseau.
Flat White is the result of this collaboration: a capsule collection of watch straps crafted for Beaubleu timepieces. Available in two versions, Écailles Rondes and Écailles Mixtes, the collection draws its character from alligator flank and head offcuts, parts of the hide usually left aside in favour of more uniform sections.
A material set aside not for its flaws, but for its character.
Freer contours, less uniform shapes and natural variations that express the full richness of the hide. Scales shift in size and pattern, creating a balance that is unique to every piece.
To let the material speak for itself, the design adopts a deliberately understated construction: a flat profile, subtle stitching and clean-cut edges. Handmade in Jean Rousseau’s ateliers in Besançon, the straps feature quick-release spring bars and a blue Alcantara® lining, chosen for its everyday comfort and as a subtle nod to Beaubleu’s world.
